Cardiogen peptide: Metabolic / Longevity research guide

In short: Cardiogen (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg / AEDR) is a synthetic tetrapeptide from the Khavinson short-peptide family, studied for cytoskeletal protein expression and for growth of myocardial tissue explants. It is studied in preclinical (cell and animal) research and is supplied strictly for laboratory use, not for human or clinical use.

Not medical advice. Cardiogen is a research compound. This guide does not provide dosing, diagnosis, therapy recommendations, or claims about effects in humans.

    What to know first

Compound Cardiogen Research class Metabolic / Longevity Available pack sizes 10 × 20 mg Storage Lyophilised powder: store in freezer (−20 °C). Reconstituted: refrigerate 1–6 °C, away from sunlight.

Details and limits sit in the sections below. Research use only. No unsupported scientific claims are added here.

    What Cardiogen is

Cardiogen (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg, "AEDR") is a four-residue synthetic peptide from the Khavinson bioregulator family, studied for cytoskeletal gene expression in cultured cells and growth of heart-tissue explants.

One-paragraph overview from our research datasheet. Still scientific, but faster to read than the full mechanism list below.

    Research contexts

Peer-reviewed papers discuss Cardiogen in specific lab settings. The points below reflect research questions, not health claims.

Research vs. personal use: Literature describes experiments in cells and animals. That is distinct from real-world use. Our products are for laboratory research only.

    Typical study contexts

  • Mitochondrial stress, NAD+/redox biology and nutrient-sensing pathways.
  • Enzyme activity, gene expression or endurance-style animal readouts.
  • Synthetic Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg (AEDR) tetrapeptide from the Khavinson short-peptide lineage.
  • Studied for expression of actin, tubulin, vimentin and nuclear lamins in cultured fibroblasts.
  • Examined in organotypic myocardial explants from young and old rats.
  • Tested alongside Bronchogen, Prostamax and Pancragen for tissue-matched explant growth.
  • Why Metabolic / Longevity research matters

Researchers study these compounds for mitochondrial function and cellular energy stress. Ageing and metabolic disease models are common.

    Mechanisms (technical review)

Our datasheet lists mechanistic themes from preclinical work. These are research endpoints, not health claims.

  • Common Questions People Are Asking

    What is Cardiogen?

Cardiogen is the name used for the synthetic tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg (AEDR) from the Khavinson short-peptide programme, which pairs it with heart tissue. It is supplied here as a laboratory research powder only.

What does the research on Cardiogen show?

In cultured mouse fibroblasts it was reported to raise actin, tubulin, vimentin and lamin expression. In rat tissue explants it stimulated growth of heart tissue, and in a four-tissue comparison it stimulated heart tissue only. All of it is preclinical and the peptide-specific papers are mostly from one research network.

Why is Cardiogen hard to look up?

The name collides with other products. A chemical-database search for "cardiogen" returns carnitine, and most PubMed hits are about a rubidium-82 generator. Look it up by sequence (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg) instead.

Is there a Certificate of Analysis for Cardiogen?

Not yet. No independent analytical report has been published for this material, so no purity figure is quoted.

Is there human data on Cardiogen?

No human study was found in the literature cited here. Cardiogen is sold strictly for in-vitro and preclinical research, not for human or veterinary use.

Is this page medical advice? Can I use Cardiogen for my health?

No, and no. This article is educational only. We do not provide dosing, medical recommendations, or health claims. Our products are sold strictly for laboratory research, not for personal use of any kind.

Where do I find Cardiogen specs, purity certificates and pricing?

Open the shop listing via “View product details.” There you will see concentration, purity grade, and available SKUs with current pricing. No current Certificate of Analysis is published for Cardiogen yet; published certificates are listed at /coa.
