    Area percent vs weight percent on a COA — what is the difference?

    Reading my first few COAs and I keep tripping on this. The purity figure is usually "area percent" from the chromatogram. But I've also seen "weight percent" mentioned.

    Are they the same thing wearing different hats, or genuinely different measurements? Trying to understand what the number actually represents before I quote it anywhere.
