MGF

Mechano Growth Factor (IGF-1Ec) // MW ~2867 Da // Local Muscle Repair Peptide

The muscle's own repair signal. A local IGF-1 splice variant activated by mechanical strain for site-specific satellite cell recruitment.

MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a splice variant of IGF-1 produced locally in muscle tissue in response to mechanical overload and damage. The unique E-peptide domain of MGF activates muscle satellite cells and promotes their proliferation, while the IGF-1 receptor-binding domain drives protein synthesis. Unlike PEG-MGF, native MGF has a very short half-life and exerts primarily local effects at the injection site.
